Corunclima Electric Ambulance Air Conditioners enable safer and faster patient transfer across Peru
A ceremony attended by Peru’s President marked the official handover of a new fleet of ambulances procured by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), each equipped with Corunclima’s specialized ambulance air conditioning systems. These purpose-built units, clearly marked with the Corunclima logo on every vehicle, are set to transform emergency medical transportation across the country with zero-emission, low-noise performance tailored to life-saving care.

The project, a collaboration between UNOPS and Peru’s Ministry of Health (MINSA), delivered 28 state-of-the-art ambulances to strengthen the nation’s medical infrastructure. At the heart of each vehicle is Corunclima’s Model T35B, an all-electric, roof-mounted air conditioning system engineered exclusively for emergency medical environments. Unlike traditional engine-driven AC units, the T35B operates independently on the vehicle’s onboard battery, enabling continuous, reliable cooling even when the ambulance engine is off—critical for maintaining stable temperatures for patients, especially those with respiratory conditions or compromised immune systems.
Designed to deliver consistent, powerful cooling while consuming minimal energy, the T35B’s fully electric design eliminates local carbon emissions and exhaust fumes, ensuring cleaner air quality both inside the patient compartment and around the vehicle during idling operations. This zero-emission functionality aligns with Peru’s sustainability goals while creating a safer, healthier environment for vulnerable patients and medical staff alike.
Equally vital to emergency care is the system’s ultra-low-noise operation. Unlike conventional air conditioners that produce disruptive engine-related noise, Corunclima’s brushless DC compressor technology operates quietly, preserving a calm environment for patients and allowing medical teams to communicate clearly during critical interventions. This dual focus on environmental sustainability and clinical safety underscores Corunclima’s commitment to engineering solutions that meet the unique demands of pre-hospital care.
As the first batch of these ambulances enters service, Corunclima’s role in the project highlights its growing reputation as a trusted partner for global healthcare infrastructure initiatives. By combining cutting-edge electric technology with patient-centric design, the company is not only enhancing Peru’s emergency response capabilities but also setting a new standard for sustainable medical transport solutions worldwide.
